YQL opentable template for using javascript

septiembre 30th, 2010 § 0 comments § permalink

Once of the most interesting feature that YQL offer the user is the possibility of writing your own javascript code to build your results programatically.

I cannot remember the number of times I've written a table for doing this, so I decided to remind myself that there are some services, like Snipplr, that help you store templates, like this one:

XML:
1.
2.

3.
4.

5.
YQL execute template

6. <documentationURL></documentationURL>
7. <sampleQuery>select * from {table}</sampleQuery>
8.
9. <bindings>
10.
11. <urls>
12.

13. </urls>
14. <inputs>
15. </inputs>
16. <execute>
17.         response.object = <hello/>;
18. </execute>
19.
20. </bindings>
21.

22.

Anyway, I'm posting it here cause I'm toooo lazy to go to to other services login etc. Maybe the wonderful yql storage editor from Sam Pullara could integrate some snippets services.

Oh my god, my head is starting to imagine it ... have to check again SkyWriter :D
